I am very pleased to announce version 0.7.0 of the KCall telephony
application.


KCall
======

KCall is KDE's open source telephony application. It allows to manage incoming
and outgoing calls from one central GUI.

This release of KCall is a port to the KDE 4 environment and is implemented
using the Decibel Realtime Communication Framework (http://decibel.kde.org).

KCall is released under the LGPL version 2 or later.


Version 0.7.0
===============

This release is considered to be a feature complete port of KCall 0.5 to
KDE4 and Decibel. It does not work with KDE 3.x.

Features include:

 * Setup outgoing calls
 * Accept and reject incoming calls
 * Send DTMF tones
 * Addressbook integration

This version of KCall depends on the

KDE4 environment (4.0 alpha or later): http://www.kde.org/
Decibel (version 0.5.0 or later): http://decibel.kde.org/,
QtTapioca (revision 2031 or later): http://tapioca-voip.sourceforge.net/ and
QtTelepathy (rev. 2031 or later):  http://tapioca-voip.sourceforge.net/

All of these projects are not considered stable releases at this time!


Known Problems
================

 * Tapioca does not yet support DTMF tones out of the box. Please use
   the patch provided in Decibel's patch directory if you need this feature
 * Kontact does not export the interfaces required to build plugins anymore in
   KDE4. You can copy the required kpinterfaces libraries to a location where
   the buildsystem will find them or building the kontact plugin will be
   skipped. Please check the INSTALL file for further instructions.
