The OSS kernel driver does not support full duplex. You may want to use ALSA
for that. (for that chipset, of course)

Yes, I've even taken a two minute approach on something like that before, but
haven't looked further at how easy it is. :-)
IMHO though it would be better if all users (that have permission to do so)
can use the soundcard (over a soundserver of some kind) at the same time.
/me does not continue thinking about it - the brain is almost in standby state
now.
