You can't remove a feature some of us want, and some of us have actively 
told people about, either.

If you find it emotionally damaging to be blamed as Noatun maintainer for 
xine bugs, I'll be happy to take over Noatun for you.

Doesn't mpeglib require environment variables to configure it?  Is mpeglib 
even configurable at all?  I'd say that's no less unusable than a Xine UI.
