Check full package version, e.g. by doing rpm -qi kontact-touch.
(I'm running
Name : kontact-touch Relocations: (not relocatable)
Version : 4.7.0 Vendor: meego
Release : 1.2 Build Date: Mon Aug 22 08:36:50
2011
on an ideapad, this seems to be the latest.)

There is a Release 1.2 where SASL is packaged, which could make sending emails

If it does not work, the composer crashes for me while it tries to open
itself.
