[KDE/Mac] Help my confusion

FWIW, I too am using Lion (OS X 10.7.5) and have Xcode 4.6.1 (older
than yours) and never any problems with building KIO, neither in MacPorts
nor in kdesrc-build.  And my MacBook is coming up to 4 years old and still
going strong…  But OTOH, I have not yet tried building KF5…
