[KDE/Mac] Help my confusion

Hello Mac gurus,

I'm trying to set up kf5 to build on an older macbook (running Lion), but
KIO is failing to build there. It builds fine on a newer machine, but on
the old machine I'm getting an error about a missing symbol _environ not
being found but used in kurlcompletion.cpp I see some #ifdef Q_OS_WIN code
that declares extern char **environ, but nothing with _ before it. I've no
idea where that is coming from, nor why it is a problem with xcode 4.6.3
but not with xcode 6.1.1. Any ideas?
