[kde-linux] copy & paste

hi -

not sure if this has been posted, but i couldn't find any reference...

i am using kde 4.2 and select the contents of a directory, select copy, 
then paste it into kwrite or any editor of choice... this functionality 
still exist...

my delimena is that in 3.5 i thought that i could sort them by date and 
do the same, i'm pretty sure, i would think that is why i just tried in 
4.2...

so when i sort the contents of a directory by date{dolphin|konq}, select 
all, select copy. and paste it, paste sorts them alphabetically...

is this the proper functionality?
