[kde-linux] k3b won't verify data

Since most of us don't see this problem it's going to be hard if not
impossible to track down. It seems you have found a work-around that works
for you. Hopefully others will find that it helps them as well.
I'm glad you have a solution, even if it's not the satisfaction of knowing
exactly why.
