[kde-linux] More fonts for KWord

I see that several fonts are installed on my system but not available in 
KWord.  Is there any guide to adding them for use?  I also have a number of 
fonts that I have collected from some of my application disks.  I need a 
couple to match up to previous work.  Can they be imported?  I've tried using 
Font Installer from Control Center, but had no success.
