Snehitare,
We shall follow the same procedure for submitting files, as we were doing
previously, but with some minor changes. For the benefit of new members, I
am putting it down with an example below.

Henceforth, till we beat the target or reach the deadline (17th September),
every MONDAY (starting next Monday - 27th August, day after tomorrow), each
of us will send a mail (to kde-l10n-kn at kde.org), containing the following
items, irrespective of what our status is-

a. Files translated over the previous week (only the names and %ges, not
actual files).
b. Planned activity for the next week.
c. Words/phrases that you are not sure of as to how to translate or feel
interesting to share with others (not as attachment, but as plain unicode
text).
d. Other issues/suggestions if any.

Please send the actual files to me. I will bundle all the files into one
single .po, and send them to all, to be added to the database.

The mail subject can be like your_name_progress_dd_mm_07

If you have a lot to share somewhere in the midst of a week, or have some
important issues, please feel free to do so. I will send a reminder every
Saturday about this.

This will ensure the following-
a. We can update our repositories with the latest files, so that we can
reuse the words others have already coined.
b. Keep track of our progress.
c. Bring contentious issues on to the table, so that we can resolve them as
early as possible.

Here is an example of such a mail--
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
subject - umesh_progress_27_08_07

a. Files translated over the previous week -
kio.po - 40 strings (80%)
kdelibs.po - 200 strings (20%)
desktop_kdebase.po - 20 strings (30%)

b. Planned activity for next week -
kio.po - 10 strings (20%)
kdelibs.po - 300 strings (30%).. etc

c.Words of interest -
automate - ಸ್ವಯಂಚಾಲನಗೊಳಿಸು
..
..

d. Other issues/suggestions
i. strings_for_revision-
I have a feeling that we can without much trouble translate the string load
as ತುಂಬು and loading etc with modifications of ತುಂಬಿಸು. ಉತ್ಥಾಪನೆ may be
difficult to grasp. Besides, here is a small justification - the possible
forms load can take are-
load, loader, loading, loaded, loads, preload boot-loader etc.. for which,
the equivalents could be
So, I would like to bring the word load and its variants load, loader,
loading, loaded, loads, preload boot-loader as "strings_for_revision".

ii. I am getting bored with translations.. I want to go on a trek :-).. will
meet you guys next week... :-)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This mail can go to kde-l10n-kn at kde.org and the actual translated files can
be sent to me. Please see to it that you maintain this format to the
greatest extent possible. If you feel you will miss out a Monday, please
send in whatever you have before that, else, others will have to wait.

vandanegaLu,
umesh
