I suppose the other concern is people's ability to middle-click links
to open new tabs, or right-click links and select "Open in new Tab."

Back in the day (KDE 3.0 or 3.1?), I achieved this with a hack... simply
told KDE to not understand right or middle clicks. That could prevent
other useful things from being done, though.

So really, if the support is not there already, Konqueror should allow
these _functions_ to be disabled (creating and/or opening-links-into
new tabs and/or new windows).
