I fixed it yesterday or so, so it will be in RC7 / final.

You can disable by adding 

[KonqMainWindow]
MenuBar=Disabled

to .../share/config/konquerorrc

To remove the "Show Menubar" entry from the RMB (context) menu you will need 
to add:

action/options_show_menubar=false

to kdeglobals.

(You might need RC7 for that to work)
