Thank you both for chipping in.

I also feel that the translation process is different for app/doc/web
on similar grounds that Xavier wrote.

I had rather following changes in mind:

At https://websvn.kde.org/trunk/l10n-kf5/templates/ there is already
"docmessages" but somehow new documentation appears under "messages"
these days. Maybe "docmessages" is intended to be nuked.

Naturally, your understanding of the change would also be better for me
than the current state.
