Nope, this is about Gwenview and an existing bugreport.

Dolphin (you confirmed that), Digikam (I saw that code), Gwenview (I saw 
that code), KMail (bugzilla confirms that), Konqueror (just checked) and 
Amarok (random googling) all override what happens on Shift+Delete.
