My thoughts on that are that Jenkins is currently too noisy to be 
useful. After around 5 failures that were caused by Jenkins not being 
able to create its own build directory, I stopped caring for build 
failure notices. If it builds on my machine, it's most likely a enkins 
failure.
If there is no successful build after a few days, however, I look at 
the build failure.

As far as I know, some people can reinitiate a build by hand. I do not 
like the practice of pushing something to the repo just to do that.

Just my opinion, not really helping. :)
