[Kde-games-devel] Stefan Majewsky we need your advice on GSoC

KDE Games is in a difficult situation with GSoC. We do not have
enough mentors with the right expertise to cover the number of
good proposals we have. I have been trying to get in touch with
you for three days because we need to discuss (privately) what to
do about this. There are just a few days left before the axe must fall.

See http://www.google-melange.com/gsoc/events/google/gsoc2012
for the timeline.

I have had a number of private communications with mentors and
within kde-soc-mentor at kde.org and I need to discuss the results
with you ASAP (because these are your ideas we are trying to follow),
but cannot publish them openly on this list due to GSoC rules.

It comes down to how many students we can support in KDE Games and
which projects should take preference if we cannot support all of them.

STEFAN, I realise you have been away, but you are back now. Please
go through the thread "KDE Games on GSoC" and give this matter
some *PRIORITY*. Sorry to shout.

Can anyone else from KDE Games act as a mentor part-time (i.e.
as a co-mentor? That would be a great help.

If so please apply at
http://www.google-melange.com/gsoc/homepage/google/gsoc2012
and get onto kde-soc-mentor at kde.org Also please let me know, so
that I can help you through the process, which takes a few days and
must be completed well before 20th April.

Cheers, Ian W.

P.S. I hate to use a priority marking on an email and have never
done so before, but time is running out for us ...

P.P.S. If anyone is in touch with Stefan on IRC, please give him
a nudge.
