I agree. Certain people love certain things and will complain if they
get taken away. Removing features or functionality is sometimes a
necessary evil needed for the overall good of the application, but
when it comes to themes, I think it's probably just easier to leave
them there. If it was good enough for release originally, it probably
isn't that bad.

Wouldn't that leave you with a duplicated tile set in the tileset
selector? I had looked at doing something similar for Killbots themes,
but got stuck on the duplicate theme listings. I guess we could filter
default.desktop from the displayed results, but that would require all
users of KGameThemeSelector to be on board. It would also mean that no
theme would be preselected the first time the KGameThemeSelector was
displayed. Maybe I'm not understanding what you mean by "aliased".

Anyway, it's certainly a good idea. There are just some details to work out.
