Hmmmm ... I have been experimenting with an ivory-like colour for several
days now and find it very playable and very clear, in spite of Matthew's
comment ... :-)  The only problem was that the blue dragon was too pale
to contrast well with the new colour, so I changed that too.  My recipes are:

    Tile background:  RGB 255 255 192
    Blue dragon body: RGB 120 120 222

Re clones in file "classic.svg", I found that (in Inkscape) I could do
Ctrl + left-click on the main tile, to select just the face.  Then the four
un-highlighted tiles all change face-colour in sympathy with the main
tile, so at least they are clones to that extent.  OTOH, as you might
expect, the highlighted tiles did not change colour.
