Survey monkey is a paid service. There is a free option, but it limits
you to at most 100 answers per poll, and I was expecting more for this
particular one. Of course, being paid is not a problem per se, the
service is pretty cheap for what it gives us. However, I was pushing for
the installation of a survey tool on one of kde.org servers so we could
have more control over polls. Some free survey hosts also collect
personal data from the respondants, and keeping everything under kde.org
domains could lead to more people willing to contribute, imo. BTW,
surveymonkey is the best in this area, as it does not use any collected
data according to their privacy policy. Other services like Zoomerang
have different policies.
Do you guys believe we will have fewer than 100 respondants? If this is
the case maybe we could use SurveyMonkey. I believe even if the poll
goes over 100 the results are still collected, you just have to pay to
retrieve them.
