As you're familiar with Qt, and therefore C++, you have a huge headstart on
most people interesting in KDE development.

To learn how to do things the KDE way, you have two options to explore:
Read the KDE documentation on http://developer.kde.org/ and Learn
from/Borrow code from existing KDE applications.

One small, relatively simple KDE game that does things the KDE way is
megami, to be released in KDE 3.1 and available at
http://www.freekde.org/neil/megami/ right now. It shows you how to use
the standard UI elements, how to add your own custom elements to the
menus, how to use keyboard accelerators and allow the user to configure
them, and how to use KConfig. About the only common task it doesn't
illustrate is using KMessageBox.

Of course, any extra questions you have can be asked on kde-devel@kde.org
or here. This list being better for game-specific questions, and
kde-devel being a wider audience for general kdelibs questions.

Good luck,
