That card should be sufficient. The next step is to configure the card for
compositing. I know how to do this on Readeon, but NVidia is slightly
different. Two places to get info on setting up compositing:

http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en/articles/compiz-fusion/index.html (This is
geared towards compiz-fusion, but should also work for KDE4).

http://forums.freebsd.org/search.php?searchid=64091 (These are forum
topics on compositing).

Also, since this is X.org topic, and not FreeBSD specific, most Linux
HOWTOs on compositing should work. The ArchLinux wiki has some good info
on editing your xorg.conf.
