[kde-freebsd] KDE4 Slowdowns examined further

I have kubuntu and tried kde4 on it after i tried it on freebsd on the same
pc, so i was very impressed with the performance. close to kde3. but the
thing that i noticed most is during boot after kdm login where the loader
*splash screen* flashes the icons from left to right (disk,...desktop,...kde
icon). on my bsd each icons flashes after about 1 or 2 whole seconds. on
kubuntu it is literally just 1,2,3,4, done.

i had actually seen a vid on youtube a week before 4,1 was out on fbsd that
showed the startup ( and that's why i was aware of it) but can't find it yet
