Yes, this would be awesome, maybe will need a webform to upload data files and 
generate kns xml entries for new files, or have a script that runs nightly 
adding the new data or something.

Depends on the app, I'm pretty sure kns can unpack archives after download and 
with kvtml 2 files being larger than kvtml 1 equivalent files I think we'll 
want to compress all kvtml 2 packages anyway.
