Hi Miguel, you can also try to contact the people of the Computer Science of 
your university and ask them if they can offer it as Proyecto Final de 
Carrera (to non Spanish people sorry but don't know the exact term, it's the 
thing you do when finishing your university studies), maybe even some student 
from the Matemathics department would have the enough programming knowledge 
to do that.

We can try to work on any kind of collaboration or "mentoring the KDE side".
