[kde-doc-english]Tool to check the menu items and the GUI labels

Hi,

Why translating docs or proofreading translated docs, I noticed that I was 
losing lots of time each time that, in the English text, a menu item or a GUI 
label is described (for example: "Click on the <guilabel>Expand</guilabel> 
button and..."):

This is because what I do in such a case is:
a) let the application run and find where this text ("Expand" in the example) 
appears
b) check in the messages translations if this text *really* exists, because 
the doc writer might have done a mistake, or this label might have changed, 
or have been removed.
c) repeat step b) for every f...ing library where this message could reside
d)  if it does not exist, mail the doc writers about the problem, or fix it 
myself
e) if it does exist, use the corresponding translation in the GUI in my 
translation of the documentation, or to fix an existing translation which can 
be mistaken or outdated too.

What would really help would be a tool that:
-extracts the <guimenu>s, <guilabel>s and <guimenuitem>s from the 
documentation messages
- searches the equivalent(s) in the po files used by the application
(not taking into account the keyboard accelerator mark '&')
- issues a warning if it has not been found
- proposes a translation if there is one.

This tool would be useful to doc writers to check that the doc doesnot refer 
to GUI elements that are mispelled, renamed or do not exist anymore. And of 
course it would be useful to translators. It could be integrated to KBabel or 
not.

What I'm decribing here is not the "rough translation" functionality of 
KBabel, because I rather need an intelligent bridge between the docs and the 
GUI. And no, I have not the resources right now to develop it myself.
