Hello Henri:

I've read your message and even had some recent experience getting KDE 
running while I was looking into getting KDevelop to run. Sorry I haven't had 
time to put a map together of what my steps were. But I can tell you that I 
eventually went with the method of just downloading the latest tar files from 
the files section of sourceforge and untar'd them to the / directory.

I hope that gives you a little bit more to go on.
