Okay I ran into some problems with the X11 and ICE-unix not having root as the owner....i went to the /etc/passwd and group then looked at them....when cygwin installed there was a root group but not user....my fix was (after setting a good password for owner) i copied the owner line in the passwd file and pasted it at the top...i then deleted the owner name on this line and replaced with "root" name...for some reason i dont see the useradd for cygwin anywhere....another problem i had was the sessions which i deleted the extra files...i am new to some things but not a stranger and i had tried kde2 before hand so i had to get rid of a lnk i had made and also i rechecked my .xinitrc and other files for kde2 in any lines and replaced with kde3 because i was getting a error that there was already another instance open...i rebasedall and rebooted then everything was fine....slow but okay....i have attached two screenshots
 
do you have any good links for getting apache going...i think the documentation at apache.org may be out of date a little...but my apache is in sbin not in a users bin or directory...thank you in advance
