The patch is OK. I see no reason in making this translatable, this is not related to language, but to the current filename, in a way.
If you're renaming "New Folder" (in any western language, at least) you expect "New Folder 1", while if you're renaming "My_Cat_Photo.jpg" you could expect "My_Cat_Photo_1.jpg". This is more about which separator is currently used in the filename, than about languages.

I guess this points to a possible black-magic solution which looks at the current filename, not sure if we want that though.
