I want to echo what Sebas said here...

The fact that we may not have been open to specific patches in the past
doesn't mean we're not open to help with our UI, and in fact I for one
would welcome some input from someone with significant experience with
UI and styles. So, I'd be interested in opening up some serious dialog
with you about how we could make things prettier overall while at the
same time removing hacks from Bespin.

That being said: It would require a measure of compromise on your part
as well as ours. You may have suggestions and ideas that we don't like,
just as we may have ones that you don't. We'd have to work together to
come up with ideas and suggestions that we can all live with (which is
how Amarok as a whole is developed). So if you feel like you can
integrate with us in that way and fit in with the way we do development,
then let's certainly talk and see what we can come up with together.
