Thumbnailer for directories

Slighthly off-topic, but I think it is important to mention it: For KDE 4.4 I 
thought about adding the possibility to Dolphin/Konqueror to reflect the state 
of files/directories for CVS/SVN (e. g. like in 
http://www.ezsvn.com/images/tortoise1.gif)

It would be cool if there would be the possibility for applications to offer a 
kind of plugin for the thumbnailer.
