Since the quoted request was by me I'd like to stress that I made it as
an "end user", not as (former) translator: "A lot of people actually
prefer the original terminology of certain specialized apps -- not only
developers ... Also if you are frequently using international newsgroups
or mailinglists you _must_ know at least the English terms of the app
you are talking about or may even want to definitely switch to the
respective version."
As a professional DTPer, I bought eg English versions of all respective
apps (for Windows) and I would really hate to see the default desktop
language (German) forced on me like KDE does. At least from a "normal
user" perspective who does not know about the "hidden switches".
