Yeah! Yesterday night!
Currently the detection is clearly oriented toward storage devices, but on the 
hardware detection itself it's fairly easy to add new device types. From now, 
the real work will be on domain specific mechanisms (network management, 
power management, accessing storage in an uniform way, etc.).

It'll highly depends on the time we need to reach Milestone 4. It requires to 
have the network related features right, might not be as easy as it sounds, 
but I'm somewhat confident because of the work done on knetworkmanager that 
looks like an interesting base.

Note that I'm also planning to put some effort on KIO as soon as possible. 
Which means that I'll have less time for Solid during this (hopefully short) 
period.

It'll be also needed for dealing with other daemons I have on my scope like 
NetworkManager and Powersave.
