The svn version should work completely fine now.

Right, i've added a bit of spacing between the list and the image.

Nothing :-D, well, it brings you back to the "browse map" thing if you are in 
other mode, but nothing if you are already at it (and you probably were as it 
is the default). Browse the map only gives you the opuorunity of clicking 
freely on the divisions to learn their name/capital/flag.

Yeah, it's obvious the map can not grow, and making the buttons grow is a bit 
"strange"

I always get the dialog over the application here, strange you don't
