Yes, this is also a benefit of being in the official KDE modules: people 
fix bugs that you either don't see or while you are away. Think of 
Dirk's gcc 4 fixes. I have no idea when will my distro use gcc 4 as a 
compiler, so I would not notice those bugs until they ship it.
