For complaining about an "immature as$hole" who sent a message to the list
without discussing things with you, you're remarkably flippant about removing
services that people depend upon with no notice or discussion. Perhaps there
could have been a resolution to this to make everyone happy. For example,
simply taking your server out of the ".kde.org" namespace, or adding a
disclaimer that the machine was not hosted by KDE, would have resolved my
concerns nicely, and then you could put whatever advertisements you want on
it.
Instead, you just take services down. I see all of your points, and I
understand where you are coming from, but you should not have put up services
that you knew people would depend for if you weren't prepared to discuss any
issues that people might have with the way that you managed them.
Because of this, I think it is probably best all around that KDE finds another
place to host webcvs and anoncvs. I'm sorry it had to come to this.
