Yes, having a standard way to switch between all forms of tabs would be very 
nice indeed.

I would personally like to see things changed to:

ctrl-fx: change desktop.

using alt instead of ctrl would be more consistent, but all the alt-fx combos 
are used already so it would be a large change to make them available, and 
the ctrl combos appears to be free.

And with change of desktop taken care of, ctrl-tab and ctrl-shift-tab could be 
next/previous tab, which i think is quite consistent with alt-tab and 
alt-shift-tab to switch between windows. Im not sure if konsole can use this 
too?
