As long as I'm responsible for them, I'm going to do what I think is right, 
that results in the application operating and interoperating correctly.

If someone else is willing to be held personally accountable for those 
icons, then he is free to make changes to them.  But I will expect action 
to be taken on any bug reports filed to him (I will create an icons 
component of Kit).

How can you say kdeclassic is maintained?  Nobody's taken responsibility 
for it.
