Of course they are. Things change when you upgrade - just like
keramik is the new default widget style, apps have new features and fixes,
and also just like previous releases changed icons too.
This has been done that way many times already: the idea is that if we hide 
the new things, people won't see them, whereas if we activate them by 
default, users can evaluate them, and easily come back to their previous 
settings if they don't like the new stuff.

Anyway, since you're once again changing topics, can we assume you finally agree on
"apps in cvs only install crystal icons, and there is no duplicated icons named hi-*",
and that you'll readd the cr* icons, and only those, to kit?

Note: if kdeartwork's kdeclassic icon themes has duplicates of crystal icons,
then this should be fixed too, by whoever feels responsible for kdeclassic. We
all agree that duplication is bad, and we have a good solution that avoids duplication,
so let's move on.
