Are you talking about a program you have in one of the cvs modules (except 
kdenonbeta) or about something outside of those modules? If you are talking 
about the former than I would like to know why you feel like you cannot use 
new stuff. If you are talking about the latter than this is the point I 
think: splitting the whole of KDE apart to leave only a kde-core results in 
all applications having to worry about compatibility to "old" library 
versions. But if they are part of the actual release they do not need to 
worry and may use new features as they wish.
