I changed the instance name exactly to what I have in

and it seems to work.

No, filters and plugins were not translated. The attached patch fixes this
too. One problem remains: The job manager is not translated. But I
could not figure out how to fix this.

You should ask for help (e.g. for a review of my patches as I am no expert) in 
the kde-core list.
