Hello !

I have discovered gcompris 9.6.1 with the ubuntu package coming with my
oneiric distribution.

I wanted to install a "old" (not so, 2003, pentium4 1,7Ghz / RAM 512Mo)
desktop for my son, and I decided to use qimo2.0 (installed from the
downloaded iso I burned).

There, gcompris is in version 9.0 only.

As my son enjoyed a lot the 9.6.1 version I wanted to install the same
version, but I do not find any repository with gcompris 9.6.1 for lucid.

Not so important, let's go to the source...
I downloaded the ...tar.gz, and go.
After a few apt-get install to add dev libraries (and a few texi2html
related stuffs) I succeded to compile and install.

But I have activities missing. They are "loaded" (119 activities) but I
can't use most of them. For example, the "Puissance 4" is not displayed
on my compiled version , while it is loaded, there in the boards.

On my other computer, I well see them and can play.

If i try too to run gcompris -a in order to get to the admin, I'm not
able to get it.

I think something is wrong, but what ? I saw that on mac and windows
there is a limitation of the number of activities, it looks like I have
too this limitation on the linux version compiled from the sources.

Any help would be appreciated.
I'm looking either for a lucid repository for gcompris 9.6.1, either for
help to fix my locally compiled version that do not give access to all
activities.

Cheers

Christophe
