Hi,
That sounds like a good idea. In term of educational aspect, Wikipedia
mention pentatonic scale as being relevant for small children:

But I don't really get your description of the activity. Could you
please describe a little bit more how the children will interact with
the software, is there a goal or a free creativity activity ?
