Yes you can.

Basically use a binary tarball, extract it to $HOME/NX, change the paths in nxloadconfig to point to NX_DIR=$HOME/NX/ and set ENABLE_FAKE_AUTHENTICATION="1".

Then use some nxssh wrapper script to let nx login to user at host with $HOME/NX/nxserver run directly.
