Hi,

i've had perhaps the same problem today. The handshake stopped
after the authentication phase. It was a SELinux problem since
running nxagent it gave a memory access problem and the
corresponding entry in messages:

Mar 28 12:04:03 cerberus kernel: audit(1143540243.939:812): avc: denied
{ execmod } for  pid=1454 comm="nxagent" name="libXcomp.so.1.5.0"
dev=dm-0 ino=5899293 scontext=root:system_r:unconfined_t:s0-s0:c0.c255
tcontext=system_u:object_r:lib_t:s0 tclass=file

so try changing to permissive mode if actually in enforcing
(/etc/sysconfig/selinux) and reboot.

HTH,

-m
