Generally the way this works is that Christoph Feck (CC'd) creates an
etherpad document where developers can write notes regarding what's in
this release. Now that our etherpad is gone, I suppose it will be on
share.kde.org.
Once this document is up, we should add content to it: new features,
user interface improvements, and important bugfixes relevant to users
(code refactoring and minor bugfixes usually don't count). I generally
do this for Dolphin, Gwenview, Okular, Spectacle, Konsole, and Kate, to
supplement the information added by those apps developers. I'll start
doing it for Elisa, too.
Then someone from the Promo team collates all that information into a
user-friendly release announcement.
In terms of the release itself, I think we're in a very good state.
There are only a few outstanding bugs that I think it would be good to
address:
- https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411674 When repeat is on,
playlist does not repeat after reaching the end when the playlist has
only one track in it
- https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=413100 Updating collection
creates a momentary duplicate album entry
- https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=408134 Don't start playing from
the middle of a song as soon as Elisa is launched
