Working with Stars

Greetings,

OS: Linux Mint 22
digiKam: 8.6.0

I store my "photos as taken" in year/month/day hierarchical folders, with a folder for each day I took a photo(s). I also keep the best of those photos in albums by subject/theme that I am building for a permanent collection.

I have just completed adding stars to photos from a major trip, according to my impression of each photo. I would now like to view them in a specific way. Using the Labels tab on the left side, I can easily view ALL photos in my collection with, for example, 2 stars, or with 5 stars.

What I would like to do is something where I can view only photos with a range of stars, for example, those with 1,2, or 3 stars. Plus, I would only like to see the folders that I select. I see that the Image Quality Scan on the Labels tab does something similar, being able to select a sub-set of folders in the collection, but it appears that it can only set flags, but doesn't work with stars.

Is there anything in digiKam that would allow me to work with selected folders and multiple stars? It would help with selecting photos for the permanent collection.

Thank you for an outstanding application!
