RAW photos converted to DNG takes a long time

Hello,

Importing RAW photos converted to DNG takes a long time, like an hour 
for a few dozen files (NEF from a Nikon D7100).

Is this normal?

If I import the NEFs, it only takes a few seconds on my NVME disk.

What can I do to track this during the next import?
