RAW photos converted to DNG takes a long time

Hi,

To be sure that the problem is located in the DNG converter stage, Import
the NEF file in your computer and post-process the conversion in the Batch
Queue Manager. The NEF to DNG code is mostly the same. Look at the time to
process to see if the delay is reproducible.

The NEF format evolves in Nikon cameras. The NEF files here do not
highlight a long time to process the conversion, but my NEF files are a
little bit old.

Remember that import tool need to register converted files to the database,
which will lock files a while if database failure. Here a debug trace from
the console can help. See the contrib page from digikam.org web site for
details.

We also need to know which digiKam version, which OS, which database types,
etc...
