[digiKam-users] Adjust date for scanned photos with unknown or partial known date (and time)

Thanks Paul for your suggestion,
It can be a method.
Your answer indicates it may not work to adjust date in digiKam as I want to (and could in PSE).
If I need to use a work around, beside your suggestion, I consider to use a fictive date, eg 1 Jan 1800 for photos with unknown date, in combo with a tag with as many date details I know for each photo.
I still hope someone can tell me there is a proper method in digiKam.

I got around this problem by embedding the date in the filename and then sorting by filename. That way you can make up you own rules about handling of unknown dates.
