[digiKam-users] Find people tags that aren't face regions

If I understand what you are saying . . .

It looks like you can tag an image with a person's name under the People
tag list and not set the face region. You can then find the photo by
searching with the left search tab. If you try to search using the left
People tab the name shows up as a tag but showing no photos (unless there
are other photos with the same name with the face region set). It looks
like the left People tab is only for faces.

So yes, you can find the photos with the left search tab. I do this when I
want to know if the person is in a photo but it is not really recognizable
and I wouldn't search it as a face.

Does this make sense? I'm still a bit of a newbie.
